About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional at AA Living Opportunities, you will be a vital partner in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities within their own homes and local communities. You will empower participants to achieve personal milestones, learn independent living skills, and actively participate in civic life.

Key Job Responsibilities

Direct Individualized Support

Provide dedicated, one-on-one assistance to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in home and community environments.

Daily Living Assistance

Support individuals with daily routines including personal care, meal planning, cooking, budgeting, and household management.

Care & Support Planning

Collaborate on developing, updating, and implementing personalized Individual Support Plans (ISP) to meet personal goals.

Community Integration

Facilitate meaningful community involvement, social events, recreational outings, and self-advocacy opportunities.

Primary Qualifications & Requirements

Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
Reliable personal transportation with valid auto insurance
Ability to pass comprehensive background checks and clearances
Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills
Genuine compassion, patience, and commitment to underserved communities
